On 16-17 March, 2022 POLSA hosted representatives of the EUSST Steering Committee – STC#65 (65th Steering Committee Meeting STC#65) in Gdansk. The meeting was held in a hybrid format. On behalf of POLSA, the gathered delegates were welcomed by Vice President of the Polish Space Agency, Marcin Mazur
The main topic of the Committee’s discussion was the EUSST’s involvement in the development of the European approach to Space Traffic Management. The subject of supporting start-up entities in their search for a business model, related to STM development, was also touched upon.
The main function of the Steering Committee is to carry out activities on behalf of the EUSST Consortium, including responsibilities related to coordinating external communication between the parties and representatives of the other (technical and security) committees. The EUSST Steering Committee meets several times a year, in countries participating in the EUSST Consortium.
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, most meetings of the Committee were held remotely. The last meeting of the EUSST Steering Committee held in Poland had been organized in March 2020.
