The main focus of the activity is the further development of the ESC and domain specific products. This activity will build on the work done to establish the Heliospheric Weather ESC during SSA Period 2 and the Period 3 extension, implementing further aspects of the ESC’s Definition and Development plan. The activity will start with the continued provision of the Heliospheric Weather productsaccording to agreed KPIs and operation of the ESC will continue according to its defined Operations Plan and procedures. The development part of this activity will involve continued consolidation and expansion of the ESC in accordance with its mission statement. The ESC will continue to expand and consolidate the heliospheric weather products available. The ESC will furthermore continue to develop and incorporate products enabling analysis and forecast of CME propagation through the heliosphere. The ESC will extend its use of MHD modelling capability for CME and CIR prediction. Products targeting mission operations at non-Earth locations in the heliosphere will be extended on a trial basis based on use-cases addressing upcoming ESA missions to the inner and outer heliosphere. The ESC shall also maintain a close link with the parallel Virtual Space Weather Modelling Centre activities in the context of the SWEmodelling service. Provision of second-line support in response to user requests, provision of inputs for the SWE product catalogue covering this domain and product availability and quality monitoring for this ESC will also be covered by this activity.
